At Young Bosses in Business (YBIB), our Youth Market is one of the most exciting and impactful ways we help young entrepreneurs bring their ideas to life. These vibrant events give youth aged 6-19 the opportunity to showcase and sell their products or services in a professional, real-world setting—giving them invaluable experience in entrepreneurship, customer service, marketing, and business operations.
Since launching our Youth Market program, we’ve hosted over 6 successful youth market events—and the results speak for themselves. Our young entrepreneurs have collectively earned over $33,000 in sales while learning and growing as business owners. These markets provide a platform for youth to gain hands-on experience, connect with customers, and celebrate their hard work and dedication.
Our markets are also an incredible community-building experience, with 78 youth volunteers helping behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly. From customer service to event coordination, volunteers gain valuable leadership and teamwork skills, while making a meaningful contribution to the success of the event.
